Volunteers Around the World (VAW)

  • About Volunteers Around the World (VAW)
Volunteers Around the World (VAW) is an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) devoted to improving the standard of living for those that live in some of the most poverty stricken communities of the world. VAW wants to provide communities with access to medical treatment, medication, nutritional security, clean water, and health education.

    Mission
Our focus is to enhance community infrastructure through improved education, access to more advanced medical treatment, increased economic opportunities, and other community based initiatives.

The work of Volunteers Around the World is done by volunteers who donate their time, money and energies to the welfare of fellow human beings. It is through the efforts of these selfless individuals and working in conjunction with community members and leaders that the world will become a healthier and better place to live.

VAW Art Outreach

VAW Art Outreach project provides volunteers with an opportunity to work first hand with an experienced artist in Guatemala. Teams will accumulate paint and other supplies prior to traveling to the host country (via donations and fundraising). While in country, volunteers will work to restore the school by painting the entire exterior and then adding a large mural, as well as teaching the art of painting and allowing the students to participate in the mural painting.
