    The George Mason University chapter of Volunteers Around the World (VAW) consists of students that are enthusiastic and committed about addressing the health disparities that currently exists in developing countries. Through close collaboration with the Non-Governmental Organization, Volunteers Around the World, our club at George Mason strives towards providing rural communities in developing countries access towards medical treatment, medication and nutritional and health education.

VAW Medical Outreach Trip George Mason University - August 2015


Volunteer Activity Description
Join the George Mason University chapter of VAW as we travel on a Medical Outreach trip to San Pedro la Laguna, Guatemala this upcoming summer! Volunteers will work in mobile medical clinics, where they will have the opportunity to intake patients, conduct public health surveys, take vitals, shadow local physicians, work in the pharmacy, teach education classes, and much more!
