Learning about other cultures (which for me means being unafraid to try new foods and talk to new people), Community service participation (I have become a recent active to the national service co-ed fraternity Alpha Phi Omega), teaching others about international relations ( through an teaching program I am in), taking photographs of people and stories, visiting landmarks in Los Angeles, and traveling to foreign lands.

January 2012 USC Water Brigade

Volunteer Activity Description

Water brigade volunteers travel down to Honduras, helping rural communities by developing and building sustainable irrigation systems. This week-long trip involves working side-to-side with community members, delivering an educational component for the children, and interacting with community leaders o teach them the skills needed to successfully maintain the newly installed irrigation systems.
