Saying "My father was a proud Tagalog Filipino from Batangas. He was an aircraft mechanic and loved traveling to Central America especially El Salvador where my mom is from. At 58 he was diagnosed with ALS / Lou Gherig's Disease, a neurologic degenerative disease affecting motor neurons in the brain. He passed away in Feb. 2012 but with the help of compassionate doctors and especially nurses, many of whom were Filipina he was able to have a good quality of life as these medical professionals trained "
