World Water Day 2013 - HONDURAS

University Chapters of Global Brigades around the world will celebrate World Water Day this year by making a difference. Help support the rural communities in Ghana and Honduras by donating directly to the Water Program rainwater harvesting and pump and well project funds. Read below to learn more about each country's specific needs.

The full-scale water systems Water Brigades build in rural communities are dependent on one key factor: the water source, usually a spring, is at a higher elevation than all the houses in the community. Without this elevation difference, water will not flow to all the homes, which the reality in many communities we see. With your donation, we will be able to purchase a water pump and provide one of these communities with a pump and well water system, giving them access to clean drinking water.
