Water Brigades at Rochester

About
Global Water Brigades is an international organization, committed to providing greater access to reliable, sustainable sources of clean water. The University of Rochester’s newly established chapter contributes to these efforts alongside thousands of volunteers worldwide.
Through Global Water Brigades, student and professional volunteers empower communities that have very limited clean water access. By working directly with community members, volunteers aid in implementing water filtration systems to promote health and productivity, and to prevent water related illnesses. We are incredibly excited for our brigade to Honduras in early January.
At a more local level, the University of Rochester Global Water Brigades chapter hopes to inspire awareness amongst both students and the community at large with regards to the importance of water accessibility and sanitation.
By fostering greater consciousness concerning both lack of resources within developing regions, and by encouraging an appreciation of our own water consumption, we hope that others might join us in this powerful social movement.
