The New York University chapter of Volunteers Around the World (VAW) consists of students that are enthusiastic and committed about addressing the health disparities that currently exists in developing countries. Through close collaboration with the Non-Governmental Organization, Volunteers Around the World, our club at NYU strives towards providing rural communities in developing countries access towards dental treatment and oral hygiene, nutritional and health education.

VAW at NYU Winter 2015 Dental Outreach Trip to the Dominican Republic

Volunteer Activity Description

Join the NYU chapter as they travel on a Dental Outreach to the Dominican Republic trip during the Summer of 2015! Volunteers will work in mobile dental clinics, where they will have the opportunity to intake patients, conduct public health surverys, take vitals, shadow local dentists, teach education classes, and much more!
