Thomas's Message

Dr. Riutta graduated from SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 1996. After that he completed a 1 year General Practice Residency at the New York Hospital Medical Center of Queen's.

Dr. Riutta is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, and has completed over 500 hours of Continuing Education emphasizing the areas of Sedation, Cosmetic and Implant dentistry.

Volunteer Activity Description

Medical Brigade volunteers set up medical clinics in pre-identified communities to provide healthcare where access is limited. Each community receives a brigade every 3-4 months and between brigades the in-country team maintains relationships with the communities to provide follow-up and conducts community health worker trainings to empower local leaders to perpetuate a consistent level of healthcare.
