  • About Global Brigades USA
    Global Brigades USA is the world's largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. Our mission is to empower volunteers and under-resourced communities to resolve global health and economic disparities and inspire all involved to collaboratively work towards an equal world. Since 2005, more than 30,000 volunteers from 800 university groups have traveled to implement our nine skill-based programs to benefit more than 600,000 community members in Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and Ghana.

Public Health Brigades at UC Berkeley is a chapter of Global Brigades, the worlds largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. The Berkeley chapter systematically works with more than 300 other university groups around the world to deliver and implement one of nine skill-based programs that benefit more than 130,000 Honduran and Panamanian community members annually. The brigade begins with an introduction to the challenges that face community members. Public Health Brigades at Northwestern University

We are the Public Health division of Northwestern Global Brigades, working closely with the Medical, Dental, and Water chapters in order to promote awareness of global development issues on our campus. Every year, we embark on a brigade to Honduras in order to directly help form sustainable development through constructing solutions to basic health problems and educating villagers about their health.

Public Health Brigades at New York

New York PHB was founded in the spring of 2009 by Laura Solia and Gladys Reyes and went on its first brigade in August 2008, working in the village of Los Pajarillos. The March 2010 brigade worked in Joyas de Caballo, and the upcoming August 2010 brigade will continue this work. The group is currently led by co-presidents Meredith Miller and Nicole Harty.
