    In September 2013 student leaders from the environmental club approached GSE staff about starting a program to their school. In October 2013 we were able to construct six above ground garden beds at Las Lomas. Students have been working weekly to maintain and expand the garden. So far a few hundred pounds of food have been donated to the Contra Costa Food Bank.

Global Student Embassy (GSE) uses hands-on service-learning projects and cultural exchanges to provide high school students with life changing learning opportunities. Students develop ecological literacy and participate in grassroots international relations while building crucial 21st century skills such as cross-cultural communication and collaboration.
