Volunteer Activity Description

Start Date: Jan 12, 2011 10:00 PM
End Date: Jan 19, 2011 10:00 PM

GMB at SFSU involves undergraduate students in recruitment of health professionals and procurement of medical supplies and funds for the brigades. Our mission provides a great experience for pre-health students and an opportunity to get involved with networking, third-world issues, and volunteer work. Students will have an immersive experience while preparing for and during the trip. Hands-on experience includes setting up a temporary clinic and staffing it in multiple areas (triage, shadowing, pharmacy), as well as preventative healthcare projects. Being an entirely student-run organization, we depend on creative, hard-working, and dedicated individuals with a sincere interest in global health and other related issues.
