Passionate About:

Opportunities to help people in less fortunate situations and studying to become a doctor. I worked at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where I was able to see firsthand the powerful impact medical care can have on those who are in need. The people in Honduras are not as fortunate to have the same access to healthcare and they do not always receive proper medical treatment. I think this Brigade is an amazing opportunity to help the people in Honduras and provide them with medical education and quality healthcare. I am looking forward to making a positive impact on a part of the world which is in need of our help.

About Us

Medical Brigades is a discipline of Global Brigades, the world's largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. The Drexel chapter systematically works with more than 300 other university groups around the world to deliver and implement one of nine skill-based programs that benefit more than 130,000 Honduran and Panamanian community members annually.

Global Medical Brigades develops sustainable health initiatives and provides relief where there is limited access to healthcare. Each community receives a brigade every 3 to 4 months where hundreds of patients are treated and volunteers deliver public health workshops. Electronic patient records are collected for future visitations and to monitor overall community health trends.
