Medical/Dental Brigades at University of Denver

Medical Brigades at the University of Denver is a discipline of Global Brigades, the world's largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. The University of Denver chapter systematically works with more than 300 other university groups around the world to deliver and implement one of nine skill-based programs that benefit more than 130,000 Honduran and Panamanian community members annually. Medical Brigades is a program within Global Brigades. Medical Brigades works with licenses medical professionals and community health workers to provide comprehensive health services in rural communities with limited access to health care. Our current focus is in Honduras, Ghana, and Panama.

Our mission is to empower volunteers and under-resourced communities to resolve global health and economic disparities and inspire all involved to collaboratively work towards an equal world. Since 2005, more than 30,000 volunteers from 800 university groups have traveled to implement our nine skill-based programs to benefit more than 600,000 community members in Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and Ghana.
