As part of the first chapter of the Global Medical Brigade at St. John’s University in New York, we hope to take 40 students to take part in a free medical clinic to the poverty stricken people of Ghana. This will be a 10-day mission that where I will assist my fellow brigaders as well as shadow physicians, which will help prepare me for a career in medicine. In order for me to do this, I need to raise $2500 for this cause. I myself hope to be a part of these brigades as a future physician, and as such, this is a crucial first step for me in my path to medicine.
