In all that I do, I seek to use the tools that I have learned to service others and take one more step towards a better world. Whether it is working to end racism, or working to provide healthcare, I am passionate about making the ills of society less of a burden for the next generation. As an anthropology major and chemistry minor, I plan to one day become a physician who actually emphasizes the anthropological aspect of being a physician. Too often, doctor visits become a robotic checking of symptoms and vital signs. With the anthropological focus on the human being and its culture, I plan to bring the humanity that is too often missing from patient visits. Only through cultural cognizance can a physician properly investigate the ailments of patients. I hope to fufill this promise.
