Global Health has always been a large passion of mine. This year will mark the 10th year I have regularly traveled abroad for relief work. Some of the places I have traveled to include Mexico, Bahamas, Brazil, Russia, and Romania. Traveling has opened my eyes to the disparities which exist in other parts of the world, taught me to be both compassionate and proactive in getting involved, and encouraged me to pursue a career in medicine. In addition, I have used my experiences to help others reach this same goal by planning annual relief trips for pre-medical students at FAU. I hope to utilize my passion for humanitarian aid and a future training in medicine to impact others both locally and globally.
