  • About SQUADS ABROAD
    Squads Abroad empowers student organizations around the world to improve health and educational outcomes. Our Squads model matches adult-led school groups with community driven sustainable initiatives. Each Squad chooses a defined focus area, volunteer partner organization, and an enrichment project that our groups contribute towards and complete during their trip. Our volunteers provide people-to-people educational support as well as the tangible accomplishment of a much needed small construction project. Squads stay at our safe and private home-base accommodations and are guided by our professional staff from the native country. Squad programs also include fun and engaging cultural activities which provide a deeper cultural context and understanding.

    Squads Abroad is a program of Global Brigades, a 501c3 international non-profit that uniquely implements a holistic model to meet community’s health and economic goals. Since 2004, Global Brigades has mobilized tens of thousands of students and professionals through skill-based programs that work in partnership with community members to improve the quality of life in under-resourced regions while respecting local culture.

Test Global Impact Squads 2 for Test Squad University 3

 Test Squad University 3 - Global Impact Squad will be matched with an underserved school to complete small construction projects, lead educational workshops, and engage in cultural exchange activities with students in the school that improve educational outcomes. Our in-country teams ensure that the school projects are built on sustainable relationships, need, and in-kind investment within the school. Participants commit a contribution to the school project materials and prepare educational workshops based on topics selected by the school. In addition, the program also incorporates cultural and language learning activities each day that foster greater appreciation and understanding of the local culture.

 TeleSquads Test University aim to transform under resourced schools abroad into inspiring learning spaces with improved educational outcomes. Our Squad travels abroad to provide in-class support and hands-on projects that improve learning environments, such as building computer labs and libraries, renovating classrooms, and improving outdoor recreational spaces. Each of our student volunteers has a donation goal to help cover logistical expenses while abroad such as transport, local staff, meals, insurance, accommodations, but most important the year-round follow-up to our project by local staff to ensure the sustainability over time.
